症结8：不会语法自我纠错
考官评价：too many basic grammatical errors 太多基本语法错误;Lack of self-correction 缺乏自我纠错
应对方式：平时注重视觉训练，在纸上写下-ed，was，were，did 提示自己讲述一个发生在过去的事情

本文将通过这个题目及其相应的笔者原创范文来对漫画作文写作内容的切题度这一问题进行一些分析。
首先给出本文第1段，对于图画内容做出简要的描述：
The drawings depict（+名词或名词短语表示的图画内容） love between a mother and a daughter:(冒号的使用) in the left one, a young, amiable mother was holding（描述图画内容 经常用进行时） one hand of her little daughter, while in the right one, when the mother becomes aged thirty years later, her daughter, who has grown up, is supporting her with their arms crossed/folded. The caption(图画的说明文字) underneath（下方地 adv.） is a word, “company”.
接下来是重点：文章二三两段内容
笔者给出了两个在内容上有差别的版本（两个版本在语言上都没问题）。
版本一
第二段：The implication carried by the pictures is that we need to show our concern and love to our parents. They have devoted considerable time and efforts in raising us up, and without their love and care, we would not have grown up into happy and healthy individuals. In return, it is a moral obligation for us to care for our parents when they become aged. What they need most is the love and company from their adult children: they know clearly that to support families, we have to be busy with our career in the current workplace full of fierce competitions, so actually our stay in their home for a short period and even a simple call from us can make our parents pleased and satisfied.
第三段：In my opinion, we have the duty to return our parents’ love by accompanying and caring for them.
版本二
第二段：The implication carried by the pictures is that we need to show our concern and love to our parents. However, nowadays many adult children neglect filial duties. As numerous people now have to spend considerable time and efforts on their career in order to survive or stand out in the workplace full of fierce competitions, many of them just give their parents money or buy them gifts, but are unwilling to spend time accompanying and caring for them. However, what these aged people really need is the company and love from their children: actually, even a simple call from children and their stay at home for a short period can make parents pleased and satisfied.
第三段：In my opinion, it is wrongful to ignore our aged parents’ real needs. Rather, we have the duty to return their love by accompanying and caring for them.

笔者的解释：给大家的这样一个问题其实本质上是文章内容切题度的考察。
更具体来说，漫画作文的写作上，要尽量保证：文章二三两段的内容即对漫画内涵的解读和展开，尽可能全面深入地体现漫画里的所有内容甚至是细节。
做到这点，不管对文章逻辑还是语言质量，都是大有裨益的。
回到这个题目上，版本二相对于版本一的不足之处在于没怎么体现出左边这幅漫画的内容即父母对子女的养育。
而版本一则是比较巧妙地把左右两幅画的内涵写成了内在具有因果关系的整体（主要体现在第二段）。
